Thanks for the reply. Might just stick with the lucky dip this time and try the duck thing at my next event.I'm off to a classic car show/family fun weekend, just hope the weather holds up as not looking to good at the mo!!! Saturday should be the better day as sunday is mainly judging the cars etc but was a set price for both days so unless i do really bad on sat i've got nothing to lose by going along on Sunday aswell. Will let you know how i get on, if all goes my way i'd love at least a few sales and another recruit would be fantastic so keeping my fingers firmly crossed!! Hope everyone else has a good weekend xx

Hi Elaine!
Never used find the duck but yes I think you are right. I'd also heard that you can just get people to name a window (take a contact number) and then open at the end-or colour in a duck and match sheets at the end to see who won. At least that way it won't finish as soon as duck is found.
I would stick with one or the other as it may get tricky trying to do too much at once. Always have a bargain box out to draw people in,make sure you get as many prize draw slips done as poss and raise yourself lots of money to pay for your gazebo!!!! Where are you off to? flower

Hello all, was thinking of using the find the duck comp as well as lucky dip at my event this weekend and just want to make sure i know what i'm doing with it lol Do you basically colour one of the ducks in and then get people to open a window and if they get the yellow duck they win a book? And what do i charge?
Really trying to put some effort in for this job and trying to make it look as colourful and inviting as poss! Have been and got a gazebo (so i'm not just a little table floating in the middle of a big field!), some bright red table cloths, a smaller table to set up some flyers, lucky dip etc and have made some signs advertising all books on table at £5 or under(going to put my more expensive ones on display somewhere else) and loads of other stuff to try and pull people in.
Do you think its worth running lucky dip and find the duck or just to stick with 1 or the other? xx
