What was the target then???
Good news on recruit and she's done Flying start step 1 so well done you! Team leader on it's way!!
I'm having an admin sort out tomorrow as my pile of Usborne paperwork is slowly spreading all over the unit in our sitting room!!! Not alot planned this month-one book fair and RSR in a very small school and one toddler group so far!!! Hoping for an outdoor event with you Deana at the end of March for recruiting! Anyone else fancy joining us?
Also considering potty training Will so need to stay home for that. Will be going stir crazy so feel free to call! I had a nice big order from my NEC experience (a library order of £2,500 before discount) so I'm happy to sit back for a bit!!!!!!
Anyone else got any news-how you all spending your special day??

What I did today Empty WHAT I DID TODAY - UPDATE

Post  Deana Godmon Sat Mar 01, 2008 11:37 am

Hi

for the sake of the record, I am not boasting. I missed my monetary target by £30 but I did make my recruitment one by signing up Locardia who I hope will be joining us on the forum in due course.

In my defence I did have to withdraw from one event due to my son being ill so I am not going to be too hard on myself.

I am sort of having the weekend off (only doing this because son is escounced in front of tele watching some rugby match or other and graham is watching a football match on the other one!!). We are all off to celebrate mothers day by watching the schools rugby finals tournament at Epsom (son playing in the u13's for his school).

I have two events planned for next week - a leisure club for a morning session and a fiction special bookstall on friday for world book day at my sons school. I am also going to have a couple of days on the admin side - getting the accounts in order, setting up contact lists and looking for some new schools to attack. What are you lot up to?

What I did today Empty WHAT I DID TODAY II

Hi

well the ironing is still there along with the housework!

I am in the middle of my six events this week. So far taken money at each but not as much as I would have liked but collecting a few names and addresses on the way and learning all the time.

Did a pamper evening last night (my first as an Usborne organiser and also my first full stop!). Fascinated by people appearing suddenly with an all-over tan, purple nails etc. I was surprised there was no-one selling make-up or such like but there was books (me), 2 lots of jewellery, a stall selling pink things that I didn't get to see, pamper chef, candles and slimming world (gave that a wide berth in more ways than one!!)

Everything hunky dorey in my world - what about yours?

Good Luck to Beckie with her stint at the NEC today - I look forward to meeting all her new recruits and hearing the gossip on her return.

Thursday

Have had a day out at HQ today - nearly 7 hours driving (should have been 4 according to the mapquest but that doesn't allow for all the other people who apparently needed to go to oxford today around the m25! and back again)

I'd like to say it was worth it - and it was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Val as always was inspirational, lunch was good (if a bit slow and they forgot to cook mine!) the other attendees were most informative and the tour of the office and the sneak preview of the new books was interesting (and no I'm not telling what they are wait and see!!)

I'm now suitably fired up and ready for a power hour tomorrow trying to get into some of these schools around me. I also have a power hour planned that involves housework! and probably need to plan a power week to clear the ironing. Still the one thing I have learned over the years is that the housework is always there tomorrow on that you can count!!!!!!!!!!!!

Goodnight

Well done deana-guess you are the only one in the running for next incentive.Wonder if everyone else is frightened??
Your day sounds mad but fun-bit too cold for me all that horsey bit!
My days been quite nice. Made jam tarts with kids this morning then off to Nanna's for lunch with kids cousins. Then spent a chilly couple of hours walking around Wild wood and learnt lots about the hand reared wolves, saw sleeping badgers, arctic foxes, hibernating adders and frogs, the funniest otters and a lovely fluffy polecat. Then went to Fish and Chip restaurant for tea, home bath and bed for kids. Now sitting on comp tapping away and texting my lucky hubby who is currently in Mauritius-26deg and stunning scenery apparently!!!! GIT!!! sunny

Hi

In view of your incentive Becky I thought I would start another topic - truth is I've sat looking at this screen trying to decide whether to start one or tack on to another for quite some time - decisions decisions.

What have I done today? I sent son to school (half term last week!). I met up with an irish gentlemen and took him on a gallops tour to meet his horse (other business selling race horse shares to all of those of you who don't know and wonder what on earth this means). Then took dog to kennells (going to HQ tomorrow as reward for doing step 3 for a business seminar). Then had a meeting to discuss a possible visit to a todlers group (got a booking in 2 weeks time). Went to watch son play rugby (they won). Now supposed to be in the shower ready to go out and see an old family friend tonight (getting stick for being on computer when supposed to be getting ready!!).

I wonder why I am so tired and have just realised reading this back that I have fogotten to eat today (except a quick post match tea and cake) so that might be the reason.

Tomorrow off to Oxfordshire for the day. What are you lot up to?
